Pure and Simple

When I wrote about my collection of glass jars I never anticipated such an enthusiastic response.  So, today I finally got around to taking some pictures.

As I went through the house I kept finding more and more jars that I had forgotten about.  I told you I was a little obsessed!  :)

So, enjoy!  I hope you are inspired to give old jars a new life!

Salsa jars are now drinking glasses

My button jar

My sewing kit in an old candle jar

I've had this jar forever.  It holds my brushes and my water while I'm painting.

Some of my favorites

My 3 year old was interested in this one!

A candle jar now holds birdseed

This huge jar was a gift from my sister-in-law (who is another jar crazy girl).
It holds bread flour.

Memories

My cute little sugar jar.  I use this every morning for my coffee.

  5. Yay, jars! I'm just now starting my collection, hehe... I have a small row on my windowsill, and a bunch of mason jars to drink out of, but now I'm working on getting some glass canisters for my pantry (I have one so far). I hadn't thought to use my mason jars in the pantry! At least for smaller things. I'll have to keep my eyes open for other uses in the house. :) Thanks!

  6. The huge jar that I use for bread flour was a pickle jar! I am always looking for interesting jars at the grocery store. There are so many ways to use them in your home! :)

  7. This was a great post. I keep the jars from Olive Garden that holds their Italian dressing to fill with candy and make pretty to give as gifts. I never thought of using all the other interesting jars as household one. Duh! All those Yankee candle jars I threw away! I like the ones holding the Qtips and cotton balls. I could attach a pretty ribbon from my stash and have it coordinate with my bathroom. Thank you for the ideas!!!

  8. I know I just commented but right after I read your post on jars, I found this link on Pinterest with a neat idea on labeling random jars!
